About Jayne Prior Funeral Directors
Jayne Prior is a well known and highly regarded funeral director in Sunderland and South Tyneside. Formerly a Funeral Manager for Scollen & Wright, Jayne realised that the funeral landscape was changing. At one time, the bereaved were provided with a funeral that fitted what the funeral director wanted to provide.
However, over the past 10 years or so, family’s wished for a more bespoke funeral, tailored to the memories and wishes of their loved one. During the same period, there has also been much more emphasis on funeral directors providing better value.

We are members of the National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF)
Jayne’s philosophy is to provide funerals with Care, Compassion and Fairness. She aims to provide affordable funerals tailored to your individual wishes and her competitive pricing is displayed on the Funeral Prices page.

Jayne Prior Funeral Directors has signed the Fair Funerals Pledge. The pledge demonstrates that we are fair and are dedicated to meeting the increasing demand for price transparency within the funeral industry.

Jayne Prior Funeral Directors now has funeral homes in Sunderland and South Tyneside and conducts funerals throughout the whole of the North East of England.
